Privacy policy

Last updated October 6, 2026

This policy explains what the Lockstep website (getlockstep.io) collects and what we do with it. In short: the site doesn’t use cookies, we count visits without identifying you, and we only receive personal information when you choose to book a demo or email us.

It covers this website only. Your organization’s use of the Lockstep app (app.getlockstep.io) is governed by its agreement with us.

Who we are

Lockstep Industries Inc

What we collect

When you visit

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count visits. It records the page you viewed, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system, device type and country, how far down the page you get, and what you click on it, such as Book a demo, the demos’ play buttons or a question in the FAQ. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t collect information that identifies you, and doesn’t follow you across other websites. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, your visit isn’t counted. Umami stores this data in the United States.

The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Like any web server, it receives standard technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. Microsoft handles this under its privacy statement.

If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers the choice on your device. Analytics counts the switch like any other click, without identifying you. The site’s fonts come from our own site, not from a font service.

When you book a demo

Book a demo opens a booking page run by Google Calendar. The name, email address and any details you enter there go to Google and to us, so that we can hold the meeting. Google handles them under its privacy policy.

When you email us

We receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

How we use it

  • To understand how the site is used and which pages and sources bring visitors, so that we can improve it.
  • To reply to you, schedule demos and follow up about Lockstep.
  • To keep the site secure and working.

We don’t sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that help us run the site and our business: Microsoft (hosting), Umami (analytics), and Google (demo booking, email and calendar). We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept as statistics about visits, not about you. Booking details and emails stay in our Google email and calendar for as long as they’re useful for our business relationship. Ask us at any time and we’ll delete the emails and calendar entries about you, unless the law requires us to keep them. Google may keep backup copies for a limited time under its own policies.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email sales@getlockstep.io and we’ll respond within 45 days. Depending on where you live, local law may give you further rights.

Children

The site is meant for businesses and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold.

Other sites

Other sites we link to, such as LinkedIn and Google’s booking page, are covered by their own privacy policies, not this one.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
